HI I’m Paula Garcia, chiropractor and director at Health and Vitality Centre, welcome to you all. The centre provides professional, safe and effective chiropractic and osteopathic care for all ages for the people of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire regions. I am registered with the General Chiropractic Council, British Chiropractic Association and have been involved in Chiropractic for over ten years. We are required as chiropractors by the General Chiropractic Council to undertake Continuing Professional Development.
In order to supplement my special interests I have attended numerous Chiropractic seminars and practical courses. This has been an amazing insight into different methods of chiropractic care and has furthered my understanding of chiropractic and its effects on the human body. My study will always be ongoing as I endeavour to provide the best and most up to date care possible.
At the centre treatment is given in comfortable relaxed surroundings to aid in your pathway back to health. As a chiropractor I aim to help you gain knowledge regarding your condition. ‘Knowledge is Power’ therefore the more you understand about your condition the better your overall recovery will be. I feel strongly regarding the importance of giving nutritional, lifestyle, ergonomic and exercise advice. This helps to educate and empower patients to long term health, offering a total package of care. I also offer maintenance care to the patient and their family to achieve their long term health goals naturally.
So if your body is stopping you doing the things that you love due to pain and dysfunction, such as to getting back to a sport, exercise, gardening, being able to lift your children/grandchildren, feeling like ‘yourself’ again contact the centre to book an appointment. Don’t let pain ruin your quality of life. Do something about it today.
Hello my name is Mike Garcia and i am Director of finance and compliance at Health and Vitality Centre as well as being Paula’s husband. I am one of chiropractic’s biggest fans. I had always had a passion for health and fitness, over the years suffering recurring hip and leg issues through competitive sport. After many years of taking painkillers to get through i was treated to chiropractic which reduced my pain and problems significantly. I was then rehabilitated and educated and am now living a fit and competitively active life, this year i completed the three peaks challenge I couldnt have done it without with my chiropractic and osteopathic care!
Hi, my name is Jess and I am so proud to call myself a Chiropractor. I graduated from Anglo-European College of Chiropractic with an integrated Masters degree (Mchiro) and have been working in Southend since. I love my work, and it’s so fulfilling taking people through their journey, seeing not only improvements in pain or stiffness but all the important things – playing with the kids, getting stronger in the gym, concentrating better in work or school, being calmer in themselves, being able to put socks on. Regular adjustments have been instrumental for me since the age of 11 – with lots of horse falls, helping through all school revision, then helping after the night before in THAT pair of heels, to Christmas time where long car journeys are unavoidable and after travelling New Zealand. Chiropractic is a way of life, just like going to the gym, or the dentist, or eating well. Putting that extra care in makes your life as easy as possible now and forever.
I have a passion for people’s health and wellbeing. I have a First-class BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation degree from the University of Salford, which has provided me with a large range of knowledge into human anatomy, physiology, musculoskeletal injuries and their treatment, including deep tissue and sport massage therapy. During my degree, I gained a lot of hands-on experience and working with the physios at Doncaster Rugby Club, where I helped with the team’s injuries by using deep tissue and sports massage as well as exercise rehabilitation. I have also worked at a Medical Centre helping people to recover from all sorts of musculoskeletal injuries. Since moving back to Hertford, I have been working as a Massage Therapist at a Gym and Spa, where I have seen many different people with many different problems. I’m very excited to be joining the team here at the Health and Vitality Centre. I hope to learn more about Chiropractic and Osteopathy and am positive that massage will compliment these therapies to ensure guests return and retain full health.
Hi, my name is Liam and I am a massage therapist here at the Health and Vitality Centre. My passion for health and fitness has led to where I am today doing what I love, which is working with and learning more about the human body. I have a BSc (hons) degree in Sport Sciences from Brunel University and recently qualified as a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist after a year studying at the London School of Soft Tissue Therapy. I am also a qualified and practicing Personal Trainer. My education and practical application, as well as my background as a Personal Trainer have given me experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal problems with deep tissue massage and other soft tissue techniques. I am very happy to be part of a great team at the Health and Vitality Centre, and look forward to helping as many people as possible!

I have a real passion for health and wellbeing (having experienced chronic pain personally) and know how important a part this plays in leading a happy life. I made a big decision to leave my full time corporate role in order to gain some much needed balance in my life and I haven’t looked back! I love personal development and learning – something which I practice daily. My interests include Pilates, volunteer work, horse riding, skiing, natural health and precious time with friends and family.
